Midwest Electric Promotes Klaus to Manager of Operations and Engineering

Midwest Electric has promoted Chad Klaus to Manager of Operations and Engineering. Chad has been with Midwest Electric since 2004 and has spent the last 11 years as a crew leader, bringing experience, energy, and a strong commitment to our members and employees to his new role.

Chad grew up around the electric utility industry as a second-generation lineman. His dad encouraged him to choose the cooperative world, and what started as a career choice became a place Chad wanted to stay. “I’ve loved the work and the people I’ve done it with,” Chad says.

He studied Civil Engineering Technology at Rhodes State and is looking forward to completing a degree through the Central Ohio Lineworker Training Facility’s partnership with West Virginia University. His commitment to the cooperative, our members, fellow employees, and the community is clear to all who know him. 

Chad’s philosophy is simple: “I find the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” That work ethic has served him well throughout his 22 years at the cooperative, and we’re excited to see him bring it to his new role.
