Peak Load Management

Help us keep members' rates low.

Peak Load Management

Midwest Electric has many commercial, industrial and agricultural members who participate in our Peak Load Management program. This helps the cooperative lower its wholesale cost of power during the more expensive peak times. The peak times occur less than one percent of all the hours in a year, but they represent a great opportunity for cost-savings for the cooperative and its participating members.

Buckeye Load Control Website

If you are already part of our Peak Load Management program and you want to see today’s load data and load control information, click here for Buckeye Power’s private website. Please call Joel at Midwest Electric if you need to set up access to the website, at 1-800-962-3830. Also call Joel if you are not part of the program but wish to learn more.
