(PEAK ALERT - Tuesday, July 27 | 3-6 pm) Please help us keep rates affordable by doing your part to conserve or delay energy use until after 6 pm!
What can you do?
Please delay electric use between 3-6 pm today, to help reduce demand during the peak when electricity costs the most.
This means delaying using large appliances (think washer/dryer, oven, dishwasher, etc) or showering until after 6 pm. Tapping the AC a few degrees and turning off any unnecessary lights during the peak also helps.
How much does this help? This list shows approximately how much it costs the cooperative when you have one of these items on during a peak hour. This is a cost we continue to pay every month on our wholesale power bill — even long after the month you used the item during the peak hour.
