(PEAK ALERT - Wednesday, July 7 | Approximately 3-6 pm)
What should you do during a peak alert?
Conserve or delay energy use between 3-6 pm during the peak if possible, when electricity costs the most. *Peak time may vary, depending on weather; peak alerts are in the forecast this week.
Delay hot water use, showering, washing clothes, etc., until later in the day or do them before the afternoon hits.
Turn off unnecessary lights.
Cook with the microwave rather than the oven, which uses more energy (or grill out... you can even choose to go out to eat instead)
Tap the A/C a notch up a few degrees.
How much does this help?
